Inventory Accountant

About the role

We are looking for an Inventory Accountant to join the finance team of D’xplorer Cakes and Catering Services Ltd in Lagos. The position is responsible for ensuring accurate valuation and financial reporting of inventory assets, providing cost insights that support budgeting and operational decisions within our hospitality business.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee accurate valuation and financial reporting of inventory assets.
• Ensure physical inventory aligns with financial records.
• Analyse material costs and identify opportunities for cost efficiency.
• Support budgeting and financial planning through inventory insights.
• Collaborate with inventory and operations teams to improve financial accuracy.
• Lead inventory‑related audits and ensure compliance with accounting standards.
• Prepare detailed reports for management decision‑making.

Required profile

• HND or BSc in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• 2–5 years of experience in inventory, cost, or financial accounting.
• Professional certification such as ICAN or ACCA (part‑qualified) is an advantage.
• Strong analytical, reconciliation and attention‑to‑detail abilities.

Required skills

• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Experience with accounting software.
