Intensive Care Trained Nurse

About the role

Genesis Specialist Hospital is seeking a full‑time Intensive Care Trained Nurse to join its multidisciplinary team in Lagos. The nurse will deliver high‑acuity care to critically ill patients within the hospital’s intensive care units, supporting both emergency and surgical services.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor vital signs and continuously assess patient status.
• Administer medications and manage intravenous therapies.
• Operate and maintain ventilators and other life‑support equipment.
• Collaborate with physicians to implement individualized care plans.
• Document assessments, interventions, and outcomes accurately.
• Participate in multidisciplinary rounds and emergency response teams.
• Educate patients and families about treatment plans and recovery processes.

Required profile

• Valid nursing license with formal training or certification in intensive/critical care nursing.
• Experience in a high‑dependency or intensive care unit, preferably in a surgical or multispecialty setting.
• Strong clinical foundation in emergency and acute care nursing.
• Excellent communication, teamwork, and decision‑making abilities.
• Commitment to evidence‑based practice and continuous learning.
