In-House Cook

About the role

We are seeking a dedicated In‑House Cook to join the household of Gresyndale Legal in Lagos, Marina. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing nutritious meals that meet the family’s preferences and dietary needs while maintaining the highest standards of kitchen hygiene.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, prepare and serve balanced meals for breakfast, lunch, dinner and snacks according to household preferences and dietary requirements.
• Purchase, receive and manage food supplies, monitor inventory and ensure freshness of ingredients.
• Maintain a clean, hygienic kitchen by adhering to food safety and sanitation standards, properly storing and labeling food.
• Operate, clean and perform routine checks on kitchen appliances and utensils, reporting any maintenance needs.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety and confidentiality standards within the private residence.

Required profile

• Proven experience as a cook in a private home or similar setting (minimum 2 years).
• Ability to prepare a variety of local and continental dishes.
• Strong commitment to hygiene, food safety and professional discretion.
• Honest, respectful, organized and hardworking attitude.
• Willingness to follow meal plans and dietary preferences.

Required skills

• Knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices.
• Competence in operating standard kitchen equipment.

What we offer

• Competitive salary ranging from NGN 70,000 to NGN 150,000 per month, based on experience.
• Accommodation provided.
• One weekend off each month.
