Import Coordinator

About the role

The Import Coordinator at Brenntag will manage import and export logistics across air, sea, and road modes, ensuring compliance with international trade regulations and company procedures. You will handle shipping documentation, customs coordination, and logistics administration while supporting cross‑functional teams.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and coordinate import and export shipments via air, sea, and road.
• Prepare and process commercial invoices, packing lists, bills of lading, certificates of origin, and other trade documents.
• Coordinate with freight forwarders, transport providers, suppliers, and customers to ensure timely delivery.
• Monitor shipment status, resolve logistics or customs issues, and liaise with customs clearance agents.
• Maintain accurate logistics records in ERP and logistics systems.
• Ensure compliance with import/export regulations, hazardous goods requirements, and internal policies.
• Monitor freight costs and support optimisation of logistics processes.
• Collaborate with Procurement, Supply Chain, Warehousing, Finance, and Sales teams.
• Provide regular shipment updates, reporting, and administrative support.

Required profile

• Detail‑oriented logistics professional with strong knowledge of import/export processes and international trade compliance.
• Ability to manage multiple shipments simultaneously in a fast‑paced environment.
• Effective communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Problem‑solving mindset and proactive coordination ability.
• 3–5 years of experience in import/export coordination, logistics, freight forwarding, or supply chain administration.
