About the role
The Human Resources & Organizational Development Officer will lead recruitment, onboarding and staff retention initiatives while supporting the organization’s quality‑improvement agenda. This role combines HR operational duties with strategic projects that enhance performance and drive cultural change.
Key responsibilities
- Lead recruitment, onboarding and staff retention programs.
- Coordinate employee training, orientation and professional development.
- Develop, review and update HR policies, SOPs and operational procedures.
- Drive quality‑improvement and organizational performance initiatives.
- Manage performance management processes, staff appraisals and goal setting.
- Support payroll administration and ensure HR compliance.
- Maintain accurate personnel records and HR documentation.
- Promote a culture of accountability, professionalism and continuous improvement.
- Identify efficiency opportunities through technology, AI and workflow automation.
- Assist with administrative operations and cross‑functional projects aligned with strategic goals.
Required profile
- Bachelor’s degree (minimum second class upper) in HR, business administration, management, psychology or a health‑related discipline.
- At least two years of relevant post‑NYSC professional experience.
- Critical thinker with a strong focus on system improvement.
- Exceptionally organized, detail‑oriented and professional communicator.
- High integrity, maturity, sound judgment and accountability.
- Proactive, dependable and able to solve complex problems independently.
- Comfortable adopting new software and digital tools.
- Committed to building a long‑term career.
- Excellent written and spoken English.
