Human Resources Manager

About the role

The Human Resources Manager will lead HR operations for a manufacturing and warehousing business in Lagos. This role ensures payroll accuracy, statutory compliance, and effective employee relations across the organisation.

Key responsibilities

• Administer payroll and manage all related statutory remittances (PAYE, PENCOM, NSITF, ITF, NHF).
• Liaise with government agencies and regulatory bodies to maintain compliance.
• Oversee union and industrial relations, handling employee grievances and negotiations.
• Coordinate expatriate documentation and ensure regulatory compliance for foreign staff.
• Maintain comprehensive employee records, welfare programmes, and performance‑related processes.
• Support HR reporting, analytics and continuous improvement of HR systems.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s Degree or HND in HR, Industrial Relations, Business Administration, Law or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years of HR experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Strong knowledge of payroll, labour law, statutory compliance and union management.
• Experience in the plastic, sack, packaging or FMCG sector is an advantage; CIPM certification is a plus.
