Human Resources Manager

About the role

Ceptua International Limited is seeking a proactive Human Resources Manager to lead its HR function in Lagos. You will shape HR strategy, support recruitment, and foster a positive workplace aligned with the company’s shipping and logistics objectives.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement HR strategies that support overall business goals.
• Manage employee relations, addressing grievances and ensuring a collaborative environment.
• Oversee full-cycle recruitment and selection processes.
• Drive talent development, engagement, motivation, and retention initiatives.
• Maintain and monitor performance appraisal systems to encourage high performance.
• Administer compensation, benefits, and payroll plans.
• Identify training needs and coordinate relevant programs.
• Provide HR metrics and decision‑support reporting to senior management.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant labour laws and regulations.

Required profile

• Proven experience as an HR Manager or senior HR executive.
• People‑oriented, results‑driven mindset.
• Strong analytical ability with experience using HR metrics.
• Excellent listening, negotiation, and presentation skills.
• Ability to build effective relationships at all organizational levels.

Required skills

• Knowledge of HR systems and databases.
