About the role
The Head of Strategy will lead the development, review and execution monitoring of the bank’s short‑, medium‑ and long‑term strategic plans. Reporting to senior management, this role ensures that all strategic initiatives are aligned with the bank’s vision, business goals and performance targets.
Key responsibilities
- Lead formulation, review and execution monitoring of strategic plans across all time horizons.
- Coordinate enterprise‑wide strategic initiatives and ensure alignment with the bank’s vision and performance targets.
- Conduct market, industry, competitor and internal performance analysis to identify opportunities, risks and growth priorities.
- Develop strategic frameworks, business cases and recommendations for new initiatives, investments and market opportunities.
- Track implementation of approved initiatives, provide progress reports, insights and corrective action recommendations.
- Facilitate annual strategy sessions, business planning exercises and performance review discussions with key stakeholders.
- Translate strategic priorities into actionable initiatives, measurable targets and implementation plans with business units.
- Maintain strategic dashboards, scorecards and reporting tools to monitor enterprise performance.
- Provide advisory support to executive management on emerging trends, transformation priorities and competitive positioning.
- Supervise assigned officers and analysts, ensuring timely delivery of strategy‑related assignments.
Required profile
- Senior‑level experience (minimum 5 years) in corporate strategy, business planning or performance management, preferably within banking or financial services.
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities with the capacity to interpret financial, market and operational data.
- Deep understanding of banking industry dynamics, competitive trends and regulatory environment.
- Proven project coordination, change management and stakeholder engagement skills.
- High professionalism, confidentiality, sound judgment and result‑orientation.
