Head Chef

About the role

The Head Chef will lead the kitchen team at D’xplorer Cakes and Catering Services Ltd, creating high‑quality dishes that meet client expectations and industry trends. This full‑time, onsite role is based in Lagos (Marina) and offers the chance to shape menu offerings for a dynamic catering business.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare food items in line with company standards and ensure consistent taste and presentation.
• Develop and innovate menus that reflect client preferences and current culinary trends.
• Maintain strict food hygiene, safety, and kitchen cleanliness standards.
• Supervise and coordinate kitchen staff throughout the food preparation process.
• Monitor inventory levels, manage stock, and ensure proper storage of ingredients.
• Collaborate with management to continuously improve menu offerings and service quality.

Required profile

• Minimum 1 year of experience as a chef, preferably in catering or hospitality.
• Strong knowledge of grilled food preparation.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast‑paced environment and meet deadlines.
• Creative mindset, attention to detail, and genuine passion for food.
• Good leadership and teamwork abilities.
• Residence near Berger, Ogba, Akute, Omole Phase 2, Ketu, OPIC, Wawa, Ajuwon, Olowoira, Magodo, Isheri or surrounding areas is preferred.
