General Manager – Mandarin Speaking

About the role

Yimei Nigeria Limited is looking for an experienced General Manager who is fluent in Mandarin Chinese and English to lead its hotel operations. The role combines strategic leadership with day‑to‑day management to ensure operational excellence, profitability and outstanding guest experiences.

Key responsibilities

• Direct all hotel departments – Front Office, Housekeeping, F&B, Engineering, Security, Finance, Sales & Marketing and HR – to ensure efficient operations and high service standards.
• Develop and execute business strategies that boost occupancy, revenue and profitability while monitoring market trends.
• Prepare and manage budgets, control costs, and oversee financial reporting and cash‑flow management.
• Maintain exceptional guest satisfaction, handle VIP guests and resolve complaints promptly.
• Serve as the primary liaison between Nigerian operations and Chinese investors, translating communications and facilitating negotiations in Mandarin.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Management, Business Administration or related field; MBA or equivalent is a plus.
• 5‑10 years progressive hotel management experience, including at least 5 years as a General Manager of a 4‑ or 5‑star property.
• Fluent in spoken and written Mandarin Chinese and English, with proven ability to translate business discussions.

Required skills

• Strong knowledge of Hotel Management Systems (PMS).
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
