Functional/Automation Tester – Intermediate to Consultant

About the role

We are looking for a Functional/Automation Tester who can operate at intermediate, specialist or consultant level to ensure the quality and reliability of our digital solutions. The role involves designing, executing and maintaining both automated and manual test suites across multiple environments.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and run automated and manual test scripts using appropriate testing tools and frameworks.
• Integrate testing activities within CI/CD pipelines and validate APIs and deployment processes.
• Apply testing standards for scalability, reliability, security and auditability.
• Manage defects, produce test documentation and reports, and adhere to testing governance.
• Validate systems against functional and non‑functional requirements.
• Collaborate with product, engineering, QA and business teams to support multiple testing initiatives.
• Adapt to changing priorities, meet defined timelines and quickly onboard new applications and technologies.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems or related field (post‑graduate degree or certifications a plus).
• 7‑15+ years of experience in enterprise‑scale IT environments.
• Completed NYSC.
• Strong understanding of SDLC, Agile delivery (Scrum/Kanban) and cross‑functional collaboration.
• Excellent written and verbal communication, analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
