Front Desk Receptionist

About the role

The Front Desk Receptionist is the first point of contact for guests at Teestone Hotel and Apartment. You will ensure a warm welcome, smooth check‑in and check‑out processes, and provide accurate information about hotel services and local attractions. This full‑time, onsite position requires a professional attitude and the ability to handle a fast‑paced environment.

Key responsibilities

• Greet guests warmly and manage check‑in/check‑out procedures efficiently.
• Handle room reservations, cancellations, and modifications using the reservation system.
• Respond promptly to phone calls, emails, and guest inquiries.
• Provide information on hotel facilities, services, and nearby attractions.
• Address guest requests, complaints, and concerns, escalating when necessary.
• Maintain accurate guest records and update reservation databases.
• Process payments, issue receipts, and reconcile daily transactions.
• Coordinate with housekeeping, maintenance, and other departments to meet guest needs.
• Ensure the reception area remains clean, organized, and presentable.
• Monitor room availability and occupancy status.

Required profile

• Minimum HND in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Entry‑level candidates with up to 24 months of relevant experience are welcome.
• Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Professional appearance and a positive attitude.
• Flexibility to work shifts, including weekends and public holidays.
• Effective problem‑solving and conflict‑resolution skills.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
• Experience with hotel management software.
