Finance Officer

About the role

We are seeking a Finance Officer to lead our financial planning, reporting and accounting operations at Zonex Fintech Limited in Lagos. The role will support senior management with accurate financial insights and help shape the company’s financial strategy.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and manage financial models, budgets and forecasts.
• Analyze financial data to identify trends, opportunities and risks.
• Prepare and present timely financial reports to senior management.
• Conduct variance analysis and recommend corrective actions.
• Oversee day‑to‑day accounting functions including accounts payable, receivable and payroll.
• Ensure compliance with financial regulations, laws and internal policies.
• Manage month‑end and year‑end close processes and coordinate external audits.
• Evaluate investment opportunities and capital expenditures.
• Manage cash flow and working capital to optimise performance.
• Develop strategies to minimise financial risk and maximise profitability.
• Supervise and mentor a team of finance and accounting staff.
• Foster a culture of accuracy, accountability and continuous improvement.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics or a related field.
• Professional certification such as CPA or CFA.
• Minimum 3 years of finance or accounting experience, including managerial responsibility.
• Proven expertise in financial planning, budgeting, forecasting and analysis.
• Strong knowledge of GAAP and relevant financial regulations.
• High level of integrity, attention to detail and strong communication skills.
