Finance Manager, Fuel Management

About the role

Dangote Cement Plc is looking for an experienced Finance Manager to lead financial control, performance monitoring, and cost optimisation across all fuel‑related operations, including CNG truck fleets, AGO consumption and fuel procurement. The role supports the company’s shift to lower‑cost energy sources while ensuring transparent reporting and strong governance.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee end‑to‑end financial accounting for CNG, AGO and LPG operations.
• Ensure accurate posting of fuel consumption, inventory movements and conversion costs.
• Prepare daily, weekly and monthly fuel consumption reports.
• Reconcile SAP records with physical consumption and operational data.
• Monitor CNG truck utilisation, conversion performance and vendor billing.
• Control diesel (AGO) consumption across plants and transport fleet.
• Validate capex vs opex conversion costs and support strategic cost‑control initiatives.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Supply Chain Management, Economics or related field.
• Professional certification such as ACA, ACCA, CIMA or CFA.
• Minimum 12 years of relevant experience in finance, preferably within manufacturing or energy‑intensive industries.
• Strong analytical, financial modelling and cost‑control mindset.
• Proven stakeholder management and leadership abilities.
• In‑depth knowledge of IFRS, budgeting, forecasting and strategic financial planning.
