Finance Controller

About the role

The Finance Controller will lead LAGRIDE’s accounting, financial reporting, compliance and internal control functions. You will ensure accurate financial records, timely reporting and robust controls to support the company’s growth and sustainability.

Key responsibilities

• Manage the General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable and inventory accounting, ensuring timely reconciliations.
• Supervise preparation and review of monthly financial statements and management reports.
• Monitor cash flow, working capital and key financial performance indicators.
• Ensure compliance with IFRS, tax, statutory and internal control requirements.
• Identify financial risks and control gaps, recommending corrective actions.
• Coordinate monthly inventory counts and reconcile physical and accounting records.
• Review and approve payment vouchers, sales invoices, journals and other financial documents.
• Support internal and external audits, preparing required schedules and documentation.
• Assist with budgeting, forecasting, financial analysis and variance reporting.
• Liaise with auditors, banks, tax authorities, suppliers and other stakeholders on finance matters.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration or related field (Master’s/MBA advantageous).
• 5–10 years of relevant experience in accounting, auditing or finance, including managerial or supervisory responsibilities.
• Professional certification such as ACA, ACCA or CPA is a plus.
• Experience in inventory‑driven industries (e.g., FMCG, manufacturing, automotive, retail) is beneficial.

Required skills

• Strong knowledge of GAAP and IFRS.
• Financial reporting, taxation, budgeting and financial analysis.
• Design and implementation of internal controls.
• Proficiency with accounting/ERP systems.
