Field Service Engineer (Solar Energy)

About the role

Jaza is expanding its solar‑energy network across Nigeria and needs a Field Service Engineer to ensure continuous power at its hubs. You will be responsible for maintaining and troubleshooting solar and diesel energy systems, travelling to sites in Osun and surrounding regions.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor hub energy systems and quickly diagnose and resolve outages to guarantee uptime.
• Support the installation and commissioning of new hubs, including solar panels, electrical wiring and associated equipment.
• Travel to sites or provide remote assistance to troubleshoot technical issues.
• Collaborate with local “Jaza Stars” and the data team to analyse performance data and implement improvements.
• Maintain accurate inventory records of hub equipment and components.
• Prepare regular reports on hub health and technical incidents for the Regional Service Engineer.

Required profile

• 2–3 years of hands‑on experience in installing, maintaining or troubleshooting energy systems, preferably both diesel and solar.
• Strong technical or engineering background with the ability to work independently in a fast‑paced environment.
• Willingness to travel extensively within Nigeria.
• Good communication skills to work with community staff and cross‑functional teams.
