About the role
Heritage International School is seeking a dedicated English Teacher to join its faculty in Lagos. The successful candidate will deliver engaging English language instruction, support student development, and contribute to a positive learning environment.
Key responsibilities
- Create daily lesson plans and educational materials aligned with the school curriculum.
- Manage the classroom by establishing clear rules and maintaining a safe, orderly atmosphere.
- Design and administer tests, grade assignments, and track academic progress.
- Provide constructive feedback to students and maintain accurate records of performance.
- Communicate regularly with parents and colleagues regarding student progress and behavior.
Required profile
- Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in Education or a related subject area with a teaching qualification.
- Prior classroom teaching experience or a student‑teaching internship.
- Strong verbal communication, patience, and organizational abilities.
- Basic computer proficiency.
