Electrical Supervisor

About the role

The Electrical Supervisor will lead the installation and commissioning of fire safety and electrical systems on construction sites in Lagos. You will ensure all works follow approved drawings, standards, and safety procedures while managing a team of electricians and subcontractors.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise installation of fire alarm systems, smoke & heat detectors, manual call points, sounders, strobes, and control panels.
• Oversee emergency lighting, power & control cabling, cable trays, and conduit works.
• Allocate daily tasks, monitor productivity, and conduct toolbox meetings.
• Inspect completed work, verify routing, terminations, labeling, and coordinate testing, commissioning, and handover.
• Manage material requisitions, track consumption, and prevent wastage.
• Maintain tools and testing instruments, ensure calibration records, and report damages.
• Enforce electrical safety procedures, isolation protocols, and proper PPE usage.
• Prepare daily, weekly, and specialized progress and testing reports.

Required profile

• Minimum qualification: BS (or equivalent).
• At least 2 years of experience supervising electrical installations, preferably in fire safety projects.
• Proven ability to lead a team of electricians, technicians, and apprentices.
