Education Project Manager – Nigeria (Maiduguri)

About the role

The Education Project Manager (EPM) will lead the direct implementation of the Education CC project in Northeast Nigeria. Reporting to the Area Programme Manager, the EPM will provide technical support, conduct monitoring visits, and ensure that interventions align with international best practices and meet the needs of target communities.

Key responsibilities

• Provide line management for project staff.
• Ensure adherence to NRC policies, guidance and procedures.
• Contribute to the development of country, area and education strategies.
• Initiate and participate in the design of relevant education projects.
• Coordinate and manage education project implementation, including activities, budget and documentation.
• Conduct regular technical support and monitoring visits across program areas.
• Represent NRC at coordination forums as delegated by senior managers.

Required profile

• Experience in implementing education projects in humanitarian contexts.
• Ability to manage project staff and oversee compliance with organizational policies.
• Knowledge of international education best practices and protection considerations.
• Capacity to work in volatile security environments and navigate access constraints.
