About the role
The Editorial Manager will lead Nigeria Health Watch’s editorial operations, overseeing content planning, production and quality across multiple platforms. This role ensures timely, accurate, and engaging health journalism that supports the organization’s advocacy mission.
Key responsibilities
- Manage the daily editorial calendar, assign stories, and edit content to meet quality standards.
- Generate story ideas, conduct research on global health developments, and produce meaningful articles.
- Train and mentor health journalists and freelance contributors to improve content quality.
- Supervise video production and develop non‑programmatic multimedia content.
- Expand editorial reach through partnerships with local newsrooms and regional platforms.
Required profile
- Tertiary qualification in journalism, media, communications or a related field.
- 5–8 years of writing and editing experience with strong proofreading skills.
Required skills
- Proficiency in MS Office and office‑management software.
- Experience in video production and multimedia content development.
