Drilling Engineer – Warri, Delta, Nigeria

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Drilling Engineer to join Nestoil Plc’s operations in Warri, Delta. The role focuses on maintaining safe, continuous drilling activities while delivering projects on schedule, within budget and to the highest HSE standards.

Key responsibilities

• Design, plan and supervise oil and gas well operations from concept to final completion.
• Optimize drilling efficiency, control costs and ensure strict adherence to HSE requirements.
• Monitor daily drilling progress, liaise with rig crews and provide on‑site technical surveillance.
• Track well parameters and alarms, initiate shut‑in actions and execute first‑line well‑control measures.
• Verify tally sheets, cement volumes, mud properties and hydraulics; sign‑off on daily operational reports.
• Analyze drilling parameters and post‑drill data to identify efficiencies and best practices.

Required profile

• Minimum 7 years of rig‑site drilling and completion experience.
• IWCF Level 3 or 4 certification.
• BOSIET/HUET and H2S training.
• Full‑time availability, reporting to the Drilling Supervisor.
