About the role
The Document Control Officer will manage the creation, revision, distribution, and archiving of all company manuals, SOPs, charts, and related documentation for our automotive and aviation operations. This role ensures that controlled documents are current, securely stored, and readily available to relevant staff.
Key responsibilities
- Maintain the master list of manuals and oversee updates, approvals, and distribution.
- Process manual change request forms, track approvals, and coordinate preparation of revision documents.
- Publish approved revisions and temporary bulletins, ensuring written approvals are on file.
- Distribute hard‑copy revision documents and verify receipt by all manual holders.
- Manage department and on‑board libraries, conducting periodic audits to confirm all hard‑copy manuals are up‑to‑date.
- Provide training to staff responsible for library maintenance.
- Maintain electronic master copies, secure data, and archive obsolete versions.
- Prepare and circulate departmental memoranda and notices to all required locations.
- Establish record‑retention systems in line with file management registers.
Required profile
- B.Sc or HND in Library and Information Science (minimum Second Class Lower).
- At least 12 months of experience in document control or records management.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow approval procedures.
