Cybersecurity Officer – SIEM & Incident Response

About the role

We are seeking a proactive Cybersecurity Officer to establish and run a centralized security monitoring dashboard for our Lagos operations. The role focuses on real‑time network traffic analysis, rapid detection of threats, and immediate response to protect our systems and data.

Key responsibilities

• Design, deploy and maintain a SIEM solution to collect and correlate logs from servers and network devices.
• Monitor system activity around the clock, identifying anomalies such as brute‑force attacks or unauthorized database modifications.
• Investigate alerts, block malicious IP addresses, and remediate compromised assets promptly.
• Collaborate with IT teams to ensure security controls are correctly configured on Linux servers.
• Document incidents and produce reports for continuous improvement of security posture.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree (BSc) in a relevant field.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in a security operations or similar role.
• Strong analytical mindset with ability to act quickly under pressure.
