About the role
The Credit Officer will evaluate loan applications, perform client background and financial checks, and assess credit risk to support loan approval decisions at Victory Empowerment Centre in Lagos.
Key responsibilities
- Review and analyse loan applications.
- Conduct client background and financial verification.
- Assess credit risk and provide recommendations.
- Ensure proper documentation before loan approval.
- Monitor loan repayment and follow up with defaulters.
- Maintain accurate client and loan records.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients.
Required profile
- Minimum OND/HND/B.Sc in a related field.
- 1–3 years of experience in a similar role; micro‑finance experience is a plus.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work with little or no supervision.
- Result‑driven, trustworthy, and detail‑oriented.
Required skills
- Basic knowledge of credit analysis.
