Credit Coordinator

About the role

Okazi Finance Limited is seeking an experienced Credit Coordinator to lead its credit committees, manage loan decisions and grow the credit portfolio in Lagos.

Key responsibilities

• Lead daily credit committee meetings and make loan decisions to maintain a high‑quality portfolio.
• Foster open discussion among committee members and ensure rigorous credit assessment.
• Supervise, analyse and report on team performance against quantitative and qualitative targets.
• Manage and expand the overall credit portfolio while monitoring risk indicators.
• Oversee credit staff, including recruitment, training, performance monitoring and evaluation.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or HND in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Banking, Marketing or related field (minimum 2:2); professional certifications or postgraduate study a plus.
• Minimum five years of experience in credit risk management or related banking functions.
• Strong knowledge of CBN prudential guidelines and credit risk management frameworks.
• Proven ability to read corporate financial statements, track non‑performing loans and calculate portfolio at risk (PAR).

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
• Experience using core banking software such as BankOne.
• Ability to analyse credit data and generate performance reports.
