Creative Art Strategic Teacher (Full‑time, Benin City)

About the role

The Creative Art Strategic Teacher will join Access to Success in Benin City to deliver engaging visual‑arts lessons that support academic and life‑skill development for children in the organization’s programs. This full‑time, on‑site role blends artistic instruction with the mission of fostering sustainable change in underserved communities.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, prepare and deliver art lessons that integrate creative expression with academic and personal growth objectives.
• Design and implement a structured art curriculum, including painting and other visual‑arts activities.
• Prepare lesson materials, assess student progress, and provide constructive feedback.
• Collaborate with fellow educators and program staff to ensure holistic support for learners.
• Mentor students, promote a safe and inclusive classroom environment, and lead community‑focused art projects aligned with A2S values.

Required profile

• Strong teaching and art‑education background with experience instructing children or youth.
• Proven ability in lesson planning and curriculum development for visual‑arts programs.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Art Education, Fine Arts, Education, or a related field (preferred).
• Experience working in community‑based or non‑profit educational settings, especially in low‑resource environments.
• Commitment to A2S’s mission, values, and willingness to work on‑site in Benin City.
