About the role

We are looking for a dedicated Cook to join our team at Café Verde in Lagos. You will be responsible for preparing a variety of breakfast items, sandwiches, salads, desserts, and light meals while maintaining our high standards of quality and presentation.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and cook all food items according to Café Verde recipes and standards.
• Wash, chop, portion, and store ingredients, ensuring freshness and proper rotation using FIFO.
• Assemble sandwiches, salads, and light meals with consistent presentation.
• Prepare desserts and assist with seasonal menu items as needed.
• Monitor stock levels and inform management when replenishment is required.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and hygienic kitchen in compliance with food safety regulations.
• Clean and maintain kitchen equipment, minimizing waste and handling ingredients responsibly.
• Collaborate with the café team to ensure timely preparation during busy periods.

Required profile

• Minimum of 2 years’ experience as a cook in a café, restaurant, or similar establishment.
• Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining quality.
• Strong time‑management and organisational abilities.
• Positive attitude, reliability, and a strong work ethic.
• Willingness to work weekends, public holidays, and flexible shifts.
