Communications & Membership Officer

About the role

The Communications & Membership Officer will lead the development and execution of communication strategies that raise the visibility and impact of the organisation. This role also builds and nurtures a strong community of members and supporters through targeted outreach and relationship management.

Key responsibilities

• Design and implement communication plans across social media, email, website and newsletters.
• Create, edit and distribute press releases, reports, success stories and promotional materials.
• Recruit, onboard, retain and renew members, maintaining accurate membership records.
• Plan and execute events, webinars, campaigns and outreach initiatives.
• Serve as primary contact for members, partners and external stakeholders.
• Monitor inquiries across channels and respond promptly and professionally.
• Track communication and membership metrics and prepare regular performance reports.

Required profile

• Minimum Diploma qualification.
• 1–2 years of proven experience in communications, customer success or community/membership building.
• Excellent written and spoken English.
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to coordinate large‑scale networks.
• Based in Mushin, Lagos.
