Cleaner / Cook – Yola

About the role

The Norwegian Refugee Council is seeking a motivated Cleaner/Cook to support its office and guesthouse operations in Yola, Adamawa State. You will help maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for staff and guests while assisting with basic kitchen duties.

Key responsibilities

• Sweep, mop, vacuum and polish floors in the office, guesthouses and annexes.
• Dust and clean furniture, fixtures, glass surfaces, walls, ceilings and door frames.
• Maintain bathrooms and latrines, ensuring they are stocked with toilet paper and water.
• Make beds, change linens, iron clothing and tidy guest rooms.
• Wash dishes, clean kitchen areas and monitor hygiene standards.
• Track cleaning and laundry supplies, request stock and report repairs.
• Assist the cook when needed and ensure all equipment is in safe, sanitary condition.

Required profile

• SSCE/WASSCE or NECO certificate.
• Strong attention to detail, reliability and high energy levels.
• Ability to work under pressure, follow instructions and operate unsupervised.
• Good listening skills, adaptability, teamwork and integrity.
