Civil Engineer

About the role

Quema Consulting Limited is seeking a Civil Engineer to join its construction team in Yaba, Lagos. The role involves supervising construction activities, ensuring compliance with engineering standards, and supporting project delivery from design review to site execution.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate construction activities to ensure safe, efficient execution according to approved plans.
• Monitor the quality of works to ensure compliance with engineering specifications, standards, and regulatory requirements.
• Review engineering drawings, specifications, and project documents and provide technical guidance to site teams.
• Coordinate with contractors, consultants, suppliers, and other stakeholders to ensure timely project delivery.
• Conduct site inspections, identify technical issues, and implement corrective actions to maintain project quality and progress.
• Monitor project schedules, resource utilization, and material requirements, and report on performance and milestones.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, environmental, and quality management requirements while maintaining accurate documentation.

Required profile

• Minimum HND in Civil Engineering or a related field.
• 2–4 years proven experience in construction projects.
• Sound knowledge of site supervision, structural works, and project execution.
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings and ensure quality delivery.
• COREN registration is an advantage.
