Chief Financial Officer

About the role

Forthworth farms is seeking a strategic Chief Financial Officer to lead its finance function. The CFO will drive financial planning, reporting and compliance while supporting the company’s growth in the agriculture sector.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee daily accounting operations, including accounts payable, receivable, payroll and general ledger.
• Prepare and review monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements.
• Manage budgeting, forecasting and financial planning processes.
• Ensure compliance with financial regulations, tax laws and internal policies.
• Monitor cash flow, financial performance and cost‑control measures.
• Lead and supervise the accounting team to maintain efficiency and accuracy.
• Coordinate audits and liaise with external auditors and regulatory authorities.
• Provide strategic financial advice to senior management for decision‑making.
• Implement and improve financial systems, controls and processes.
• Analyze financial data and produce reports for senior leadership.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance or a related field.
• Professional certification such as ICAN or ACCA (preferred).
• 5–6 years of accounting/finance experience, including 2–3 years in a managerial role.
• Strong knowledge of financial reporting, tax regulations and compliance.
• Excellent leadership, analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
• High level of integrity, attention to detail and strong communication skills.
