Chef / Cook – Nigerian Cuisine

About the role

We are looking for a skilled Chef/Cook to join our vibrant food court in Lagos. You will be responsible for delivering authentic Nigerian dishes while maintaining high standards of quality, hygiene, and customer satisfaction.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and cook a variety of Nigerian dishes such as jollof rice, fried rice, soups, stews, swallow meals, grilled meats, and snacks.
• Plan menus, ensure consistency in food quality and presentation, and cater to special dietary requirements.
• Purchase, receive, and manage food ingredients and kitchen supplies.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe kitchen environment at all times.
• Monitor inventory, minimize waste, and ensure compliance with food safety and hygiene regulations.
• Supervise kitchen assistants where applicable and ensure timely preparation and service of meals.

Required profile

• Proven experience as a chef, cook, or food handler.
• Strong knowledge of Nigerian cuisine and local ingredients.
• Ability to prepare meals in large quantities and work under pressure.
• Good understanding of food safety and sanitation practices.
• Excellent time‑management and organizational skills.
• Culinary training or certification is an advantage.
