About the role
lagoSmart Digital is seeking an experienced Business Development Manager to drive new business opportunities across multiple industries. You will be responsible for promoting the agency’s digital marketing services, building relationships with decision‑makers, and closing B2B sales.
Key responsibilities
- Develop and execute sales strategies to generate new business for lagoSmart Digital.
- Identify, contact, and follow up with potential clients across different sectors.
- Pitch digital marketing services such as social media management, SEO, website development, Google Ads, PR, content creation, and online reputation management.
- Prepare proposals, presentations, quotations and sales documents for prospective clients.
- Conduct market research to uncover new industries and brands that need digital support.
- Manage the full sales cycle from lead generation to closing deals and meet monthly sales targets.
- Maintain a sales pipeline and provide regular reports on leads, prospects, meetings and closed deals.
- Collaborate with creative, strategy and account teams to ensure smooth client onboarding.
Required profile
- Minimum 3 years of experience in business development, digital marketing sales or B2B sales.
- Proven track record of closing sales and meeting revenue targets.
- Experience selling to corporate clients, SMEs, startups or other business decision‑makers.
- Strong knowledge of the Lagos business environment and the digital marketing industry.
- Excellent communication, presentation, negotiation and relationship‑management skills.
