AV Technician

About the role

The AV Technician will join the Conference and Banqueting team at Transcorp Hilton Abuja, ensuring audio, video and lighting systems are set up to the highest standards for guests and members. You will be responsible for delivering seamless technical support during events and quickly resolving any issues that arise.

Key responsibilities

• Set up and operate audio, video and lighting equipment according to event specifications.
• Troubleshoot technical faults during events and provide immediate solutions.
• Collaborate closely with the Conference and Banqueting team to meet guest expectations.
• Maintain compliance with hotel security, fire regulations and health‑and‑safety legislation.
• Attend training sessions and ensure adherence to brand standards.
• Support other departments as needed while promoting environmentally‑friendly practices.

Required profile

• Minimum three years of experience in a similar AV role within hospitality, leisure or retail.
• Positive attitude, strong communication skills and a commitment to excellent customer service.
• Flexibility to adapt to varied work situations and ability to work independently or as part of a team.
