Area Sales Manager – Corporate (Lagos)

About the role

The Corporate Area Sales Manager will drive bulk cement sales across a defined region, focusing on corporate clients, large‑scale projects and key accounts. Reporting to the Deputy Head of Corporate Sales, you will combine strategic oversight, team leadership and direct account management to grow revenue and market share.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute area‑specific sales strategies to meet volume and revenue targets.
• Identify, secure and manage high‑value projects, government contracts and long‑term supply agreements.
• Manage a portfolio of strategic corporate accounts, building strong relationships with contractors, developers and procurement teams.
• Lead, coach and monitor a team of Corporate Sales Representatives / Key Account Managers, setting performance targets and conducting regular reviews.
• Monitor market trends, competitor activities and emerging construction projects to provide actionable insights.
• Negotiate complex, high‑value deals while protecting profitability and margins.
• Coordinate with logistics, plant and finance teams to ensure product availability, demand planning and credit risk management.
• Track KPIs, prepare performance reports and implement corrective actions as needed.

Required profile

• Proven experience in corporate and project‑based sales within the cement or building‑materials sector.
• Demonstrated ability to lead, develop and motivate a sales team.
• Strong track record of negotiating large‑volume contracts and securing long‑term agreements.
• Ability to analyse market intelligence and translate it into actionable sales plans.
