Architect

About the role

The 4th Place is seeking a creative Architect to lead the design of commercial interior projects in Lagos. You will be responsible for translating client briefs into detailed schematic designs, working drawings and coordinated documentation.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the production of schematic designs, design development and working drawings including floor plans, ceilings and MEP layouts.
• Coordinate project schedules and ensure timely delivery of design milestones.
• Conduct client meetings to capture project briefs and perform field measurements and detailed site surveys.
• Prepare and update furniture, finish schedules and all related design documentation.
• Research and apply new design and construction methods, ensuring comprehensive design details.
• Perform any additional tasks assigned by senior management.

Required profile

• Excellent written and verbal communication in English.
• Strong creativity, imagination and attention to detail.
• Ability to conceptualise designs and produce accurate sketches.
• Proficiency in field measurement and conversion to CAD/3D models.
• Experience in commercial interior projects and knowledge of colour, materials, FF&E and specifications.
• Team player with solid interpersonal and problem‑solving skills.
• Willingness to travel occasionally.
