Accounts Receivable Officer – HMO Billing

About the role

The Accounts Receivable Officer – HMO Billing will manage the full revenue cycle for our diagnostic centre, ensuring accurate invoicing, timely claim submissions and effective cash collection from health maintenance organisations, insurers and corporate clients.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare, review and process HMO and corporate client invoices in line with approved timelines.
• Submit claims with complete documentation and monitor their status.
• Post payments from customers and HMOs into the accounting system and reconcile statements.
• Track outstanding invoices, follow up overdue accounts and implement collection strategies.
• Investigate and resolve rejected, disputed or under‑paid claims and liaise with HMOs on tariff or capitation issues.
• Generate ageing reports, receivables dashboards and periodic performance reports.
• Ensure compliance with internal controls, billing policies and support audits.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or HND in Accounting, Finance, Economics or related field.
• 2–4 years of experience in accounts receivable, HMO operations or similar healthcare finance role.
• Hands‑on experience with claims management, debt recovery and account reconciliation.
• Knowledge of healthcare revenue cycle and HMO billing processes.
