About the role
We are looking for an Accountant to manage daily financial transactions, prepare invoices, monitor accounts, and support budgeting in our shipping and logistics operations. The role involves close collaboration with customers, vendors, banks and auditors.
Key responsibilities
- Record daily income, expenses, payments, receipts and other financial transactions.
- Prepare invoices, payment vouchers, receipts and credit notes.
- Monitor customer accounts, receivables, payables and outstanding balances.
- Reconcile bank statements, cashbooks, customer and supplier accounts.
- Track operational expenses such as fuel, vehicle maintenance, tolls, port charges and other logistics‑related costs.
- Prepare monthly management accounts and financial reports.
- Assist with budgeting, cash‑flow monitoring and financial forecasting.
- Support payroll preparation, statutory deductions and staff advances.
Required profile
- Minimum qualification of HND.
- At least 2 years of experience in a similar accounting role.
