Accountant

About the role

The Accountant will manage the company’s financial records, ensure accurate reporting, and support budgeting and cash‑flow planning for NG44 Consulting Ltd in Lagos.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain up‑to‑date financial records, record daily transactions and prepare monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements.
• Assist in preparing annual budgets, financial forecasts and monitor departmental expenditures.
• Process invoices, payments and reimbursements, manage accounts payable and receivable, and follow up on overdue items.
• Prepare and file tax returns, ensure compliance with accounting standards and liaise with auditors and tax authorities.
• Administer payroll, calculate salaries, deductions and benefits while maintaining confidentiality.
• Generate financial reports, analyse data, and present findings to management.
• Implement internal controls, support internal and external audits and maintain proper documentation.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or HND in Accounting, Finance, Economics or related field.
• Professional certification such as ICAN, ACCA, ANAN is an advantage.
• Relevant accounting or finance experience (approximately 2 years).
