Accountant II – Bank Reconciliation

About the role

The International Institute of Tropical Agriculture is seeking an experienced Accountant II to lead bank reconciliation activities at its Ibadan headquarters. You will ensure accurate cash and bank reporting, support audit processes, and maintain investment income records.

Key responsibilities

• Recognize incoming non‑donor funds using the GL interface on Oracle.
• Reconcile cash and bank accounts monthly across 32 banks, cash, and deposit accounts.
• Monitor and verify that all stations’ cash and bank reconciliations are up‑to‑date on the Treasury SharePoint.
• Respond to internal and external auditor enquiries regarding cash, bank accounts, and reconciliations.
• Ensure proper recognition of investment income.

Required profile

• BSc/HND in Finance and Accounting or a related field.
• Minimum five (5) years of experience in a similar accounting role within a well‑structured environment.
• ACA or ACCA qualification is an added advantage.

Required skills

• Practical experience with Oracle EBS.
• Proficiency in using international banking platforms.
• Strong working knowledge of the Microsoft Office Suite.
