Accountant (Hybrid)

About the role

TravelDeer is seeking a detail‑oriented Accountant to join its finance team on a hybrid basis. The role involves handling daily transactions, supporting month‑end reporting and ensuring compliance with tax and payroll obligations.

Key responsibilities

• Record and maintain daily financial transactions.
• Prepare invoices, receipts, payment vouchers and other accounting documents.
• Perform bank reconciliations and assist with monthly financial reporting.
• Handle tax documentation and filing.
• Track payables, receivables, petty cash and office expenses.
• Process payroll documentation and statutory remittances.
• Maintain proper filing of accounting records and supporting documents.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or HND in Accounting, Finance or related field.
• Minimum two years post‑NYSC accounting experience, preferably in a startup environment.
• Experience in the travel industry is an advantage.
• Strong attention to detail, integrity and ability to work with minimal supervision.
• Must be able to commute easily to Ikeja, Lagos State.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Familiarity with Zoho Books accounting software.
