Accountant – Entry Level

About the role

CoreHR Consulting is seeking an entry‑level Accountant to join its finance team in Lagos. The role will support daily financial operations, ensuring accurate recording and reporting of transactions for a manufacturing and warehousing business.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain accurate records of daily sales, purchases, and expenses.
• Prepare and organise financial reports and statements.
• Perform bank reconciliations and monitor payables and receivables.
• Generate invoices and ensure proper documentation of all financial transactions.
• Maintain inventory and stock‑related records.
• Assist with payroll processing and routine accounting tasks.
• File and organise financial documents in compliance with company policies.
• Support tax and statutory compliance requirements where applicable.
• Provide timely financial information and reports to management.

Required profile

• Minimum HND in Accounting, Finance or a related field.
• At least 12 months of relevant accounting experience.
• Strong numerical, analytical and attention‑to‑detail abilities.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Responsible, reliable and able to meet reporting deadlines.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Office applications.
• Basic knowledge of Nigerian tax and statutory compliance (advantageous).
• Understanding of bookkeeping, bank reconciliation and financial reporting.
