Wireline Mechanical Technician

About the role

The Wireline Mechanical Technician is responsible for maintaining, testing, and troubleshooting mechanical and cable systems to ensure optimal performance and reliability of wireline equipment.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain and service mechanical and cable systems used in wireline operations.
• Test equipment using multimeters, megameters, and other diagnostic tools.
• Troubleshoot mechanical failures and implement corrective actions.
• Ensure equipment reliability and compliance with safety standards.

Required profile

• Diploma or Higher National Diploma (HND) in Mechanical Engineering.
• Minimum five (5) years of relevant experience in mechanical systems, transmission, hydraulics, and pneumatics.
• Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics.
• Experience using a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS).
• Proficiency with test equipment such as multimeters and megameters.
• Strong work ethic with a proactive, enthusiastic approach.
