About the role
We are looking for a Wikipedia Content Writer to create, edit, and maintain Wikipedia articles for a variety of topics. This contractor position involves thorough research and adherence to Wikipedia’s policies to ensure neutral and verifiable content.
Key responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive research on assigned niches, industries, individuals, companies, or topics.
- Gather and verify information from reliable, independent, and credible sources.
- Write, edit, and format Wikipedia articles in line with Wikipedia’s policies and standards.
- Upload, publish, and manage article submissions on Wikipedia where appropriate.
- Monitor article status and make revisions based on feedback or editorial requirements.
- Stay updated on Wikipedia’s guidelines, policies, and best practices.
Required profile
- Previous successful Wikipedia article publications.
- Knowledge of Wikipedia’s editing tools and processes.
- Experience researching a variety of industries and topics.
