Warehouse Storeman

About the role

The Warehouse Storeman works under the Customer Service Manager to ensure smooth daily warehouse operations. This includes receiving, storing, issuing goods and handling material handling equipment in a fast‑paced environment.

Key responsibilities

• Receive and verify incoming shipments, sort items and put them away using the Warehouse Management System (WMS).
• Move commodities within the warehouse using hand pallet jacks or certified forklifts.
• Pick, stage and dispatch orders accurately, completing pick slips and signing off.
• Maintain good warehouse practice (GWP) and adhere to SOPs, safety and hygiene standards.
• Support inventory processes, including regular full and cycle counts and reporting variances.
• Remove, stack and arrange empty pallets, and perform general housekeeping after each operation.
• Escalate any discrepancies within 24 hours and ensure proper documentation.

Required profile

• SSCE or O’ Level qualification.
• 1–2 years of experience in warehouse operations.
• Certified forklift operator (forklift certification required).
• Ability to work under pressure, show initiative and collaborate with team members.

Required skills

• Warehouse Management System (WMS) usage.
• Material Handling Equipment (MHE) operation – hand pallet jacks and forklifts.
• Basic inventory and batch management.
• Customer service orientation.
