Volunteer Community Manager (Remote)

About the role

AODI is seeking a passionate volunteer to lead its online communities across Africa. Working fully remotely, you will engage youth, women, mentors and ambassadors, fostering a vibrant digital environment that supports education and mentorship programs.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and moderate community groups on WhatsApp, LinkedIn and email.
• Drive engagement through discussions, prompts, polls and virtual events.
• Onboard new ambassadors, mentors and mentees and track participation.
• Coordinate announcements, updates and event reminders.
• Support virtual networking sessions and mentorship conversations.
• Collaborate with Program and Communications teams to maintain a positive community culture.
• Gather feedback to continuously improve the participant experience.

Required profile

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Highly organized, responsive and able to manage conversations diplomatically.
• Understanding of youth/student communities and online engagement.
• Passionate about education, mentorship and impact‑driven work in Africa.
