Upper Primary Maths Teacher

About the role

Camilla Brook School is seeking an enthusiastic Upper Primary Maths Teacher to join its Yaba campus. You will be responsible for delivering engaging mathematics lessons to upper primary learners, fostering both academic excellence and character development.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, deliver and assess daily mathematics lessons in line with the school curriculum.
• Prepare lesson plans, assign and mark classwork and homework.
• Use formative and summative assessments to monitor learner progress and provide targeted support.
• Differentiate instruction to meet diverse learning needs and offer extra help where required.
• Maintain a safe, inclusive and orderly classroom environment.
• Communicate regularly with parents and guardians about student performance.
• Participate in school events, meetings and co‑curricular activities.
• Integrate appropriate teaching aids and technology into lessons.
• Collaborate with colleagues to continuously improve teaching practices.

Required profile

• Strong expertise in upper‑primary mathematics and the ability to explain concepts clearly.
• Demonstrated classroom‑management skills and a commitment to an inclusive learning environment.
• Proven experience teaching at the primary level, preferably upper primary.
• Recognized teaching qualification and/or a degree in Education, Mathematics or a related field.
• Commitment to continuous professional development and alignment with the school’s values.
• Willingness to work on‑site in Yaba and engage fully in academic and co‑curricular programs.

Required skills

• Basic technology skills for instructional purposes, record‑keeping and communication.
• Familiarity with educational apps, learning platforms and productivity tools.
