About the role

The company is a growing interior and furniture production brand seeking an Upholstery Supervisor / Quality Control Lead. You will manage a busy workshop, coordinate artisans, and ensure every upholstered piece meets the highest quality standards while maintaining client satisfaction.

Key responsibilities

  • Plan and coordinate daily production schedules with upstream teams.
  • Supervise upholstery and finishing activities, including foam cutting, stitching, piping, tufting, and final finishing.
  • Inspect products to ensure compliance with company quality standards.
  • Interpret furniture sketches and guide artisans during production.
  • Liaise with clients on fabric selection and swatches.
  • Procure upholstery materials, maintain stock records, and monitor material usage to reduce waste.
  • Train, supervise, and discipline artisans to maintain high performance.
  • Conduct final quality checks before delivery.
  • Coordinate with carpentry and finishing teams to meet production deadlines.
  • Maintain a safe, organized, and efficient workshop environment.

Required profile

  • Minimum 2 years of experience in furniture manufacturing or upholstery.
  • Strong knowledge of upholstery techniques, fabrics, foam, and furniture construction.
  • Assertive personality with the ability to enforce standards and drive accountability.
  • Excellent attention to detail and quality‑control mindset.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and dimensions.
  • Good leadership and communication skills.
  • Preferably female, 30 years or older, residing near Yaba, Lagos, or able to commute.
  • Full‑time availability and ability to work under pressure.
