Turkish Desk Manager

About the role

The Turkish Desk Manager leads Access Bank's engagement with the Turkish business community, fostering relationships with SMEs, corporates and other key stakeholders. This senior position is responsible for shaping the desk’s go‑to‑market strategy, driving business development and ensuring seamless delivery of banking services to Turkish‑linked clients.

Key responsibilities

• Identify and educate potential customers on the bank’s products and services.
• Onboard new businesses and monitor market developments in Turkish SME and corporate financing.
• Organise and participate in internal and external events, preparing promotional presentations as needed.
• Manage stakeholder relationships and follow up on business leads.
• Coordinate internal processes with legal, risk, compliance and other Access Bank units.
• Communicate regularly with key client contacts to ensure operational excellence.
• Contribute to proposals, presentations and the bank’s knowledge base.
• Develop and execute the desk’s strategy, including budgeting and meeting financial metrics.
• Report to senior leadership and meet assigned deliverables.

Required profile

• Strong interest in impact investing and sustainable business development.
• Proven ability to build and maintain productive relationships in an international environment.
• Self‑driven, proactive and comfortable working independently while fostering collaboration.
• Resourceful with a strong work ethic, attention to detail and results‑oriented mindset.
• Ability to understand client business models and identify commercial opportunities.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English and Turkish; knowledge of Nigerian languages is a plus.
• Willingness to travel as required.
• Financial services or banking experience is advantageous.
