Therapeutic Radiographer – Oncology (Linear Accelerator)

About the role

The Therapeutic Radiographer will deliver precise radiation therapy to cancer and blood disorder patients using advanced linear accelerator equipment. Working within a multidisciplinary oncology team, you will ensure patient safety, accurate dose delivery, and high‑quality care throughout the treatment process.

Key responsibilities

• Administer radiation therapy treatments on linear accelerators following oncological protocols.
• Accurately position patients and use immobilisation devices to achieve optimal treatment outcomes.
• Monitor patients during therapy, manage adverse reactions, and document treatment parameters.
• Perform regular quality‑assurance checks on equipment and collaborate with medical physicists to verify dose accuracy.
• Maintain compliance with radiation safety standards and provide patient education on treatment procedures and side‑effects.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Radiography (therapeutic focus) with professional registration (Radiographers Registration Board of Nigeria).
• Minimum 5 years experience in therapeutic radiography, including at least 2 years of brachytherapy experience.
• Certification in radiation therapy and safety protocols is an advantage.
